Specialist motor insurer ERS has pledged to give farmers one less thing to worry about with its refreshed agricultural insurance proposition, providing dedicated underwriters and claims experts to handle broker's agricultural business.

The new offering – which launches today – is designed to step up to the ever evolving demands on brokers and pressure on today's farmers by offering a set of distinctive benefits that together are not replicated elsewhere in the market.

Specifically these include;

  • A dedicated team of agricultural specialists across both underwriting and claims. Brokers will be assigned an individual 'Champion' to underwrite risk or handle clients' claims from start to finish
  • Increase in third party property damage to £10 million – double the market standard
  • Trailers (attached or unattached) are now covered, whatever the value
  • Computer and Sat Nav systems installed in tractors and combines are now covered up to a value of £15,000

Scott Tilbrook, Head of Commercial and Agriculture Underwriting at ERS said: "Specialist knowledge is crucial in the agriculture market where risks and claims can be highly technical or complex. Our brokers need quick and informed decisions to be made, ensuring a minor accident or one-off incident doesn't turn into a major headache. This is why we have responded with cover that we believe will alleviate much of the worry so that farmers can keep working, come what may.".
