2025 ERS Assets Oli

We’re pleased to welcome Oliver Rosi to the Bespoke Personal Motor team, where he’ll be supporting brokers across Enthusiast and Prestige - working closely with Regional Trading Underwriter, Lydia, and the wider team. Based in the office but also heading out on the road to meet brokers, Oliver brings with him deep experience in specialist motor and a broker’s-eye view of the market.

Career background

Oliver joins ERS from a large broker, where he spent his entire career to date. He started out focusing on day vans, motorhomes and campers, before moving on to establish a central underwriting unit for specialist business. There, he built up over seven years’ experience managing delegated authorities, including specialist commercial vehicles and enthusiast risks such as classics, kits and modified vehicles.

“My entire career has been in specialist motor,” Oliver explains. “So the natural progression was to come to the UK’s largest specialist motor insurer.”

Why ERS?

For Oliver, the decision to move was about both the opportunity and the people.

“Working broker side, I already had good relationships with Marc Suffield, James Mann and Anne Therese Cromwell, and I knew their ethos. ERS felt like a company on the up, but also a place with the types of people I wanted to work with. I understand ERS’ appetite, footprint and processes from the broker side, and it’s exciting to now be part of that from within.”

Settling in

Just two weeks into his ERS journey, Oliver is already enjoying life in the city and within the London office.

“Everyone has been incredibly welcoming. The office is fantastic - I was previously based predominantly at home or in regional offices, so being in the city is a new and exciting environment. The most exciting part for me is establishing my name and becoming a recognised underwriter in the market. I can’t wait to get out on the road, meet brokers face-to-face and start building those relationships. I’ve been used to engaging with insurers from the broker side, so now it’s about flipping that perspective.”

Key skills

Oliver brings a broker-first mindset, backed by practical experience in scheme management.

“My background means I know what brokers want, and I also understand what clients want. Having managed DA schemes for many years, I can bring that operational knowledge into my underwriting, helping make placements smoother and relationships stronger.”

Outside of work

Away from the desk, Oliver is passionate about sport and music. A Reading FC season ticket holder, he has played rugby since he was ten and is also a member at Newbury Racecourse. He’s a fan of indie rock and a regular at Festivals.

Life at home revolves around his two Labradors, Poppy and Lilly, who keep him busy with long walks in the countryside around his village near Newbury.
