At IQUW Group we understand the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion and maintaining an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are a core component of IQUW’s Values & Culture, and fundamentally impact the success of the organisation. We are all responsible for ensuring we have an inclusive, respectful and equitable working environment.

We are committed to ensuring a truly diverse and inclusive culture exists, where all colleagues are able to be themselves and feel a sense of belonging. Different perspectives, views, cultures and experiences are encouraged and embraced at IQUW Group and we believe that diversity drives innovation, better decisions, client value and both individual and collective performance.

Identifying and removing barriers to diversity, equity and inclusion is key and is embedded across our core policies, processes and ways of operating including our practices for Hiring & Selection, Development, Succession, Culture and Reward. Training is provided to colleagues to ensure everyone understands both the importance and impact.

We continue to consider how we can best achieve our diversity, equity and inclusion ambitions. The below initiatives are intended to support us in achieving our ambitions, however these will continue to evolve as we progress in our journey.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champions

Our voluntary Champions play a key role in developing our agenda and supporting its implementation. Champions ensure the voices of our colleagues are heard and that everyone is able to input into the agenda and support our journey.

The Brokerage

IQUW have partnered with The Brokerage, an organisation that support social mobility. This partnership allows us to access a broader pool of talent, increasing diversity in our entry level roles and provides opportunity to a pool of talent that may have limited access to the Insurance industry.

Moving Ahead Mentoring Programme

IQUW Group have partnered with Moving Ahead and the 30% Club to drive female talent development. IQUW have put forward both mentees and mentors and believe the programme will support our high potential female mentees and enable our mentors to drive development of other females through their advice and support.

Internal Mentoring Programme

A pilot internal mentoring programme aimed at females is underway. The aim of the programme is to increase the gender balance in our mid-senior level positions, through targeted developmental support.

Training

In order to minimise bias in our decisions, unconscious bias training is mandated for all colleagues . Additionally, hiring managers receive training and support on inclusive hiring practices and we continue to discuss inclusive behaviours with our colleagues to create a culture where everyone can thrive.
