We’re excited to welcome Vicky to the Bespoke Personal Motor team at ERS, joining as Regional Underwriter for the North. With a strong background in specialist motor and a real enthusiasm for underwriting, Vicky will be working alongside Jim to support brokers across the region. We caught up with her as she settles into her new role.
Where were you before, and what attracted you to ERS?
I was at NFU Mutual for seven years, with the last three in the Prestige team. What really attracted me to ERS was the specialist nature of the business. I love working in true niche areas, and the bespoke underwriting element here really appealed. The motor-only focus is fascinating too - I’m already seeing how much deeper the motor expertise goes across the business. The specialist nature of ERS brings with it a dedicated Prestige claims team, established market credibility, and trusted partnerships like JLR - all of which truly set it apart and make me excited to work for such a strong player in the market.
What are your first impressions, and what are you most looking forward to?
Everyone’s been incredibly welcoming, and the energy across the team is brilliant. People are really enthusiastic about their roles, about brokers, and about underwriting - which is so refreshing. I’m really looking forward to doing more manual underwriting, having more say in terms, and getting to know a wider range of brokers across the North to support Jim and the team.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I’ve got two German Shepherds, Jinx and Mystic, who are my world - I love walking and playing with them. I’m also a massive foodie! I enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, and exploring new cuisines – I’d say Mediterranean is definitely my favourite. When I’m not in the kitchen or out with the dogs, you’ll usually find me with my head in a good book.
