ERS, the UK's leading specialist motor insurer, has announced the promotion of Annie Ward to Head of Bespoke Personal Lines and Agriculture. Annie previously served as Product Manager for Bespoke Personal Lines.

In her new, expanded role, Ward will oversee the underwriting strategy and performance for both the Bespoke Personal Lines and Agriculture portfolios, which provide cover for a range of vehicles from Prestige and High Net worth to Collections and Overseas vehicles and, with her new Agricultural responsibilities, farm vehicles, estate vehicles and those used for leisure and recreation sites, like golf courses and zoos.

Ward, who joined ERS in 2014, will report directly to Scott Tillbrook, ERS Active Underwriter, and will be responsible for the profitability and growth of these key classes. The appointment follows the recent promotion of Tillbrook, the former Head of Agriculture, Commercial Lines and Bespoke Personal Lines, to the role of Active Underwriter.

Tilbrook commented: “Annie has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive growth and profitability in the Bespoke Personal Lines sector. Her focus on end-to-end underwriting, which consistently provides Prestige quotes in under 2-hours, and the build our of a specialist Prestige claims proposition, has been instrumental in our success – delivering excellent underwriting results year-on-year. The addition of Agriculture to her remit is a natural progression, and I am confident that under her leadership, both portfolios will continue to thrive.”

“At ERS, we prioritise internal promotions whenever we can” continued Tillbrook “Annie’s promotion reinforces our commitment to developing internal talent by recognising and empowering our team.”

Ward added: “I’m excited to add the Agriculture class to my role. Whilst our Agriculture and Prestige propositions might seem quite different, they are similar in many ways. Both are service led propositions, supported by expert broker facing teams, our latest, enriched, real-time pricing models, and their own specialist Claims teams. Additionally, we are making progress in enabling brokers to digitally trade the most specialist risks in both these classes, which will reduce our already enviable quote response times.”
